How to Celebrate Christmas, like a housewife!

Last week we had fellow housewife Gina Liano join me inLydia's kitchen!
See below for our Christmas styling, Menu and all the fun in-between.

"... I can't remember the last time I had that much fun!
The food was delicious & Lydia was so hospitable.
Definitely something I would do again!"

Christmas is one of my favourite times of the year because it's not just one evening, it's a season full of entertaining with family and friends. With so many reasons to entertain, this gives me the opportunity to style and decorate my home in true Lydia form. I am a traditionalist when it comes to Christmas decorations and wanted to create a space that would lift the spirits of my guests, so I called my good friend @events_by_daniela .
Understanding the brief entirely, Daniela turned my dining room into the festive heart of my home. Creating spectacular table centrepieces that were simple, traditional and with serious WOW factor! We decided to go with a red, green and a touch of gold. Why not take a (mistletoe) leaf out of my book, and try this styling for yourself.

Menu Catering for 25 people meant we needed to create a delicious feast that was time efficient, tasty and fitting for the festive season!

Prosciutto Melone and Caprese Skewers greeted guests upon arrival.

@pinosfineproduce is always my first choice for fresh fruit and vegetables... but if you're a fan of the show, i'm sure you already know that.

First Course
Vegetarian Risotto was certainly a party pleaser accompanied by delicious Italian Wines.

I only serve the best for my guests, so Aramis Vineyard was the obvious choice!

Main Course

It wouldn't be Christmas without Turkey, but why stop there?
Our guests enjoyed two delicious roasts - both Turkey and Eye Fillet, supplied from my friends at @neilsmeats.
We accompanied this simple and healthy dish with roasted potatoes and green beans.

Concluding the evening in true Italian style, we served one of my favourite desserts - Tiramisu.

But wait ... There's more!

Many of our guests went home with personalised sketches by talented artist @sarasidari

In true Christmas spirit, we made sure our guests went home with lots of goodies!Everybody received a gift bag comprising of generous gifts from all of our friends at@vicdermalgroup@platinumcosmeticsptyltd@martzieyewear@brunetticaffe@teymaraincAnd... for added excitement we treated our guests, whether naughty or nice to a candy buffet from our absolute favourite @candybuffetco
